In This book, there is a story about a Sasquatch, a Chupacabra, and a Jersey Devil. Each of these stories is very well written and quite entertaining.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">In the first story, a Sasquatch finds himself stuck in his Bigfoot form, unable to return to his human one, and left behind in the woods by his friends. Things seem to get worse for him when a Sasquatch hunter arrives on a camping trip with his girlfriend and sets up their camp nearby. In the second story, a Chupacabra is having trouble controlling both his shifts and his cravings at the same time as the woman he was in love with, but who had left to marry another man, returns to town. The third story involves a Jersey Devil who runs a casino and a woman whose pastor fiance she had just caught having sex with another woman.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book, and while I'm not normally very fond of erotica, I do enjoy the stories written by this author. The plots of these three tales were captivating, and in each case, I wanted to know how each story ended. Despite my not being a fan of erotica, this book held my interest throughout all three tales. Often, I’ve found that books that are classified as erotica are more graphic sex than story, but that has not been the case with this author. The books that I have reviewed of hers have been well-written, with plots that draw the reader in and hold their attention. And as such, I do actually find myself enjoying reading her books.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I believe that this is a collection of stories from previously published books by this author, though I am not entirely certain. But if I am correct, I expect that the full novels that each of these stories were from would be just as enjoyable

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you are a fan of erotica, you will love the stories in this book, and if you are more like me, enjoy a good story and don’t mind the explicit and graphic sex scenes, then I think you will also enjoy these stories. They present a unique take on three specific types of Cryptids, so those who enjoy reading about Cryptids will also likely enjoy this book. Just remember, this is not a book meant for younger readers; this is an erotica novel after all.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/3TiDnaF (Amazon link)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://4horsemenpublications.com/product/the-erotic-cryptid-collection-urban-legend-erotica-collection-book-7/ (link to the book on the publisher's website)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. The land was sold to a developer who is tearing down the forest and has sent for a hunter to remove the protected and endangered animals. However the hunter's plan does not involve keeping them alive and relocating them; he plans to kill and sell their hides for profit. Taylor, a young boy in leg braces, and Knocker, the First Guardian of Ituria, appear to be all that stands between the wolves & the hunter. Can they manage to save these endangered animals?

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book, and even though I am not the intended audience, I enjoyed reading it. This is an early chapter book meant for mid-grade readers. And while it does teach about Red wolves, why they are endangered, and why they should be protected, it was also a very interesting story. It does not read like a book that is trying to teach something, but as a parent, you quickly learn to recognize books with a lesson or moral hidden inside. The story itself was fun, and I think that younger readers would enjoy reading it.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">And while it is the second book in a series, these books do appear to stand on their own, requiring no knowledge of anything that occurred in the previous books. In other words, this series can easily be started from any book in the series; you need not start with book one. If you have kids who are currently reading short chapter books, I'd recommend having them take a loo at this series. I think they'd enjoy it.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/49tilwV (Amazon link)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/3RwjjR (books2 read link to other vendors)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. Her life seemed pretty close to perfect. Until, that is, a runaway carriage ran over her leaving her seriously injured and with a large scar marring her face. It felt like she lost everything that day. The men who had pursued her before the accident all lost interest when her beauty was permanently marred.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">In the end, her closest friend convinced her to write to someone advertising n a matrimonial newspaper. Based on the town and the man's initials, she thought she knew who she was exchanging letters with, but when she arrived in the town of Goldenbrook, it turned out the the AW she was writing, was not the man she had assumed those initials belonged to. Instead, it was Adam Clark… her brother’s ranching partner.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This was one of the sweetest of Ms. Linnington’s mail order bride stories that I have read. Though it begins with a case of mistaken identity, it doesn’t take long before it no longer matters to Maisie. As always, there are problems to overcome and secrets that come to light at unfortunate moments, but those aren’t the large problems that you might expect. Instead, the big challenge involves Adam purchasing the general store shortly before a newer, fancier one opens a competing business. Can Maisie and Adam find a way to keep their store in business, or will they be the ones who have to close instead?

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book, and as always, I enjoyed reading Ms. Linnington’s latest tale. It was a sweet and very heartfelt story that included many of the themes as her previous books, but also showed that no matter how difficult a challenge a person may face, if they face it head on and don’t give up, they will come out on the other side stronger, and better than they might have initially believed

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you have enjoyed any of Ms. Linnington’s other novels or enjoy reading mail order bride stories, then you should enjoy reading this hopeful and sweet story.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/4bQOFvh (Amazon link)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Your Universal Link: https://books2read.com/u/bWYAAM books2read link for other vendors)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

I received an Advance Review Copy of this book, and like the first book in the series, it takes the reader on a fun ride once again, this time involving outer space, aliens, and a mystery that needs solving. It's a fun story that I believe younger readers will enjoy. Multiple EMP blasts are set off over the main continent, causing everything electronic that was not kept either below ground or in a Faraday cage to be rendered useless. In the early days, many people die, and only those who are lucky, prepared for any emergency, willing to help others, or who prey upon other survivors seem to find ways to survive. But for how long?

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book begins by painting a grim picture for humanity. But there is always hope if you know where to look for it. In this book, for many people much of that hope comes from religion. (The title of the book should suggest that religion is a big part of this story.)

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book, and I had a little trouble getting into the story. It begins with what felt to me like partisan politics. Had the author used a fictional current and previous president, it likely wouldn't have bothered me, but I disliked the representations used of the actual people. (And to be fair, it would have bothered me no matter which way the apparent political leanings went.)

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">That being said, once I got past the opening set-up, the story became more interesting and entertaining, and mostly without the political aspects that I found so distracting. At that point, the characters and their survival took center stage and captured my interest. While much of it is a bit dark, it also contains a great deal of hope. And watching the two main families come together as one extended family, helping each other to survive, and coming up with a plan together did hold my interest through to the end.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book ends with a bit of a cliffhanger that clearly leads into a sequel. If you enjoy post-apocalyptic novels with a strong religious theme, once you get past the political opening background (Or if you don't mind the apparent partisan politics), then you'll likely enjoy this book.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Rating this one for Amazon was difficult for me. I would consider it a solid 3.5 stars, but Amazon only allows reviewers to give full stars, so I had to spend some time considering whether to post it as a three or a four star book. After a great deal of thought, I decided that I had to give it three stars. My reason as to why being that when comparing the enjoyment this book gave me with the many other books that I chose to give four stars to, while I did enjoy this book (once I got past the opening setup), that opening setup made it less enjoyable for me than the four star books that I have reviewed. It was a good book, but had it used entirely fictional characters rather than the actual people who were elected, I don’t believe that it would have contained the issues I found distracting, and I would have given it four stars instead.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/3T39vzb (Amazon link)

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/mZY6vy (Books2Read link to other vendors)

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. Fortunately for Russ, he was secretly being observed by Ituria & Knocker. They save his life and bring him back to Ituria's Island, where they hope he can help them save their trees from a mysterious illness that is killing them. (Russ's mother is a farmer & has taught him a great deal about plants.)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">The interesting thing about the situation is that Ituria is a unicorn & Knocker is a dragon. The book is intended for children who are starting to enjoy reading chapter books. It is about 80 pages long, and the story was something that I think many kids around that age would enjoy. It was neither too advanced for those on the younger end nor too simplistic for those on the older end.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">As an adult reading this story, I enjoyed it and finished it in about a half a day. I may not be its target audience, but I still enjoyed this fantasy adventure, and even learned a few things that I didn’t know about both plants and the moon. I believe that those who are in the right age group will very much enjoy this book, and I hope that I will get the chance to review other books in this series in the future.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/49QTbIx (Amazon link

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/bPDnGY (Books2Read link for other vendors)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://4horsemenpublications.com/product/russ-and-the-hidden-voice-the-ituria-chronicles-book-1/ (link to the book on the publisher's website)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. His sister is now an immortal being & is married to an Angel, his circle of friends include a number of various magical beings, and he is now an associate professor of geology at the college. From the outside, his life looks pretty good. There's just one problem… he's been dating an Incubus named Apollo, and had fallen in love with him. However for Apollo, the "relationship" is completely one sided. It is all about the sex, on his terms and with multiple partners, heedless of Wes's feelings. When Apollo calls, Wes always goes back to him.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">What Wes really wants and needs is a healthy, loving relationship with someone who can and will love him in return. But so long as he remains with Apollo, he will never find it.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I read a review copy of this book. It was an interesting tale that I need to give a few potential trigger warnings about. The main part of the story deals with a toxic relationship between Wes and Apollo. Also, this is an adult story, and though not what I would call erotica, it does have some rather detailed M/M sex scenes. It is not a book meant for younger readers. There is also some stalking that happens in the story.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">That being said, this was a good book and one I enjoyed reading. It is book 3 in the series, and I had previously reviewed book one (Antique Magic) which I also enjoyed, and have recently bought book 2 (Blood Magic) which I have not yet read, but plan to in the (hopefully) near future. While the books can be read out of order, there are a few things that likely make more sense when the series is read in order.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book seems to be about realizing when you are in a toxic or one-sided relationship, finding a way to truly believe that you deserve better, and then making it happen, as hard or impossible as all of those things may seem. Reading this story may be rough for someone who has been in such a situation, but I can tell you that you will enjoy how it ends.

https://amzn.to/48Y17rq (amazon link)

https://4horsemenpublications.com/product/heart-magic-magic-love-and-mischief-book-3/

(link to the book on the publisher's page)

https://books2read.com/u/mZYKwy (Books2Read link with other vendors)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. And not just a normal blackout, but one where everything electronic stops working all at once. No cell phones, no cars, nothing that requires any sort of electronics to make it work will even turn on. And all this happens with little to no warning. Now imagine that your family is separated by about 200 miles when it happens, and has no way to communicate with each other, no way to learn if each of you is okay or not, or if you can even make your way back home somehow.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This was an interesting post-apocalyptic novel that begins shortly before it becomes clear that there has been a long-term cyber attack being waged against the United States. This book does a great job of explaining how and such a thing was possible without putting the reader to sleep by being too technical. And the struggles faced by the three main groups of people focused on in this book, were very realistically portrayed, including the panic that naturally seems to follow in the face of the unknown.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book and enjoyed reading it. In this book, everyone (<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">the Watcher Elders, the Sha who the Weres report to, and of course, Vee herself)<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"> seems almost desperate to know what she truly is. She now knows the name of her mother, but not why she was given to the human couple who raised her or what happened to either of her birth parents. These are still mysteries that will soon need to be solved. But of a more immediate urgency, there is currently a Vampire who appears to be hunting her, though why he is hunting Vee is unknown. And taking care care of that problem without starting a Were-Vampire war must obviously be the pack’s priority.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book and enjoyed it easily as much as I did the previous book in the series. Vee and those she surrounds herself with are fascinating characters that have me wanting to read more about. The author has done a fantastic job of creating characters that I want to know more about. Their stories draw the reader in, while letting you try to guess at what is happening or about to happen, and I won't lie… this book had me tearing up a few times as I read.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you have read the previous book in this series, or any other books by this author, then I believe you will not want to miss reading this one. It's a book that will suck you in and keep you reading until finished. It’s well worth giving this series a try.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Recommended for those who enjoy stories of the paranormal involving Vampires, Were-creatures, and Watchers.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/49o3Ytx (Amazon Book Link)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://4horsemenpublications.com/product/white-moon-by-moonlight-book-3/ (link to the book on the publisher's page)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/31BGk6 (Books2Read link with other vendors)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. He is a farmer, and never expected anything more from life than to someday take over his parents small farm. But all that changes the day that Prince Makseka Blackclaw happens to travel through the small town and the two of them meet. The prince, a werewolf, is instantly attracted to the young man, and wants him to become his royal consort and wear his collar.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book, and to begin, there are a few things that any potential reader needs to be aware of. The members of the royal family are all Werewolves, and while the king is married to a queen, he also has a royal consort (who can be either male or female.) This consort wears the king’s collar and is bound to him in a way that is the equivalent of a marriage. Also, this is not a book meant for younger readers. This book is a M/M romance and does contain some graphic sex scenes as well as some BDSM themes. It is an adult book, and as such, you will be asked to confirm that you are 18+ before you can access it on the publisher's website.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">That being said, the story involving the prince and his desired consort, is a very sweet tale of romance between the two. And as with any tale of romance, misunderstandings and complications always arise. But then, life is never easy, is it? And when werewolves are involved, you can usually expect there will be even more issues that must be dealt with.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">All in all, while this might not really be my cup of tea, (erotica usually isn't), I did enjoy this story. The developing romance between the two main characters as they overcome a number of misunderstandings and get to truly know and understand each other is heartfelt and honest. And if you are looking for a sweet M/M romance that comes with a unique set of complications (and a few surprises along the way), then I believe that you will enjoy this book.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/3vYtQxz (Amazon link)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://4horsemenpublications.com/product/the-crown-and-the-collar-kingdom-of-claws-book-1/ (link to publisher's website)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/3L5D0N (Books2Read link to other vendors)

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

However During dinner, the host is murdered, and Harper/Moon Investigations is soon on the case. But this isn't the only mystery for them to solve in this book. Ghost-ma is having trouble staying tethered to the bookshop and is beginning to fade away, and Erick's imprisoned father has reached out to him. Why now, remains to be seen. Hopefully, Silas can solve the Problem that Ghost-ma is experiencing before she is gone for good.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book and enjoyed reading it just as much as both the previous books in this series as well as the Mitzi Moon books before that. Mitzi's snark and humor, combined with Erick's heart and crime solving experience, and adding in all the interesting other characters living in this small, almost-Canada town, and you have both an interesting cozy mystery and a fun paranormal tale.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">While you may not expect a mystery novel with a murder to be a typical Valentine, the love in this book among the main characters in this cozy mystery is clear for all to see, and because of that, I feel this book makes a wonderful Valentine’s week selection, and if you choose to check it out, I hope that you will agree with me.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you enjoy reading cozy mysteries with a paranormal twist or if you have enjoyed any of the other Mitzy Moon or Harper/Moon mysteries, then I believe that you'll enjoy this book as much as I did. Watching Mitzi find her way both in and out of trouble is, in my opinion, always a lot of fun.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book is available from the following locations:

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://amzn.to/3STLStR (Amazon)

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/bOEz5N (Books2Read vendors)

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

He is a man who will seek to possess and own her rather than love her, and after writing a quick letter in answer to one of the ads seeking a wife, she attempts to sneak away in the extremely early hours of the morning to flee to California, where she meets James Wilson, the rancher she has come to marry. But what about his hidden past?

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this sweet mail order bride novel. It contains the expected themes of kindness, love, forgiveness, and understanding. And as expected, Ms. Linnington wove an interesting tale around all of these themes and their included lessons. But don't assume that means this is anything less than an interesting tale of two strangers getting to know and love each other.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Yes, the characters face difficulties that they must find a way to overcome in order to reach their happy ending, but one thing that you can be sure of is that they will get there. The fun in this type of story Is discovering how they will find their way to that happy ending.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you enjoy a good mail order bride story, tales of self-discovery, romance and love in the old west, then you will enjoy this book, as well as any of the others in this series.

This book may be found through the following:

Runaway Bride and her Outlaw (Amazon link)

https://books2read.com/u/b6lezZ

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. Moving back to the town where she had grown up and bringing the dog she had adopted with her, Abigail intended to reopen the antique shop and enjoy a quiet life reconnecting with old friends as well as building a new life for herself. She was not aware of the many dark secrets that had long existed in the small town, but she soon enough found herself in the middle of everything, and needed to find a way to end the horror that controls the town and its residents.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This was an interesting first horror novella written by a new author. There is a fair amount of blood & gore in this story, so if horror is not something you enjoy, this book likely isn’t meant for you. I also need to warn you that there is some spousal abuse that takes place in this book.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">It is a short tale and a fairly quick read. I felt like there were a few instances of awkward phrasing in the story, but that might have something to do with the author being in the U.K. and my being in the U.S. Sometimes phrases that are common in one country seem a little odd to those in another.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Overall, it was an interesting tale that had a couple of potential ways that it could have ended. It also leaves things open for there to possibly be a sequel in the future. If you enjoy horror that does include some blood and gore, as well as having a touch of paranormal beings in the mix, then you will likely enjoy this book. I enjoyed reading my review copy of this book.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

This book may also be found through the following:

https://books2read.com/u/mv6PO6

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 10pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. He had previously spent 20 years in prison before being exonerated, and while there is no evidence pointing to him, the body was found nearby and he is a black man living in a predominantly white, rural area. The cop who came to their property seems determined to pin the crime on him. And so, for now at least, Luther flees from the farm he had been living and working on in California and winds up in New York to stay with an old, Irish author And here, it seems that his life finally and truly begins.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This was an Interesting story about two men who seemingly could not be more different from each other. No one can get in, and the only way out is death. The town's mayor appears to have made a bargain with an evil god and has been using the town's people as his means to achieving power and immortality. I read a review copy of this book, and if you enjoy reading horror then you don't want to miss out on reading this series. (But I would strongly recommend reading book 1 in this series first.) I will say that while I really enjoyed reading book 1, this book sucked me in and I couldn't put it down. I read this book in two days. Book one was good, but book two is even better. There is a creepiness to it that makes me think of Stephen King meets the Twilight Zone.

One thing that I do need to warn you about though, is that this book begins exactly where the previous book left off. So you should be aware that if you need a reminder of what went before, you may want to go back and reread the first book in the series before beginning this one.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book has it all, suspense, terror, gruesome encounters, true evil, and unexpected twists. She is the last one alive who carries both Isa's blood and thus a remnant of her power. Unfortunately, she is being sacrificed in an attempt to make a bargain with Acies, the Demon Lord of War by a man named Dakin in order to gain power. However, it doesn't seem to work the way Dakin and the priests expect. And instead, Acies strikes a deal with Elaine that binds them together and saves her life.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Now, the Demon Lord of War is once again living in their world, and while most would assume that to be a bad thing, from what I as a reader can see, it may wind up being the only way to save their world from a great number of other threats. And just possibly, it may be the means of returning the goddess Isa to their world. The only problem with that hope currently, is that Acies wants revenge upon Isa for having imprisoned him in a void and leaving him there for centuries to die a slow death.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received and read a review copy of this book. I really enjoyed reading this story and am expecting that there is much more going on than any of the characters realize. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in this series. I have a few guesses about what will happen as well as what I think may have actually happened to both Acies and Isa, but they are just my guesses based on what I read in this book. He would have likely lost his life had another deputy, Basil, not arrived to help them out alive. But with first & second degree burns from the fire, Oren will be hospitalized for a very long time. And his home has been completely destroyed, along with his neighbor’s house.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">It becomes clear that it was arson. Ms. Rabe has woven a masterpiece with this tale. Every time I thought I had it all figured out, another of the clues needed to solve this mystery was discovered that seemed to upend what I had thought was happening, convincing me that I still didn’t actually have the mystery solved. And just when I was convinced that it couldn’t be answered in this one book, she manages to tie it all together to reveal the truth of what was going on.
<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">It is nearing the time of year to harvest the apples, and for once, the Baker girl's stepfather seems to be willing to listen to advice and not simply do as he assumes is best.
<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book picks up where the Last one left off. Sanja is alone in the Crow Palace, a prisoner in the dungeon after making a deal with the Crow King, Taking Clio's place as his promised bride has managed to save the lives of her mate, King Recienne (aka Rogue), as well as his sister, Clio, and her mate, Tori, though it has left her to suffer and eventually be killed. It is well known that few Crow Brides manage to survive for more than a year, and most last far less than that. This book starts out with your heart aching for all of them, and it grows from there.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I can’t tell you how often this book had my heart aching for the characters and multiple times had me nearly in tears. Yes, there are happy moments as well, but this book definitely takes you through the entire range of human (and fae) emotions, both the happy ones and the dark ones. Honestly, it was the perfect conclusion to an enthralling series. I absolutely loved it.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book kept me on the edge of my seat much of the time. Sometimes in a hopeful way, and other times despairing that the characters that I have come to love will be able to find their happy ending, as much as I was praying that they would. (And I can't tell you if they do or not, as that will spoil the ending for you, and you really will want to experience it for yourself.) There are certainly a lot of twists and turns, as well as unexpected happenings along the way, even though looking back, there were hints of what was coming from the very beginning of the series.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">And in case you are wondering, yes, I feel this book well deserves a 5-star review. If you haven’t read the previous books in this series, I strongly recommend going back & reading them first as you will have missed so much that if you don’t, this book might not make as much sense to you.. I do need to warn you that there are some sexual scenes in the book. (How can there not be when you are dealing with newly-mated fairies?) But while somewhat intense, are not so overly graphic as to warrant concern save for very young readers. (If you are old enough for some of the darker themes in this series, then you are likely old enough for the sex scenes, especially if you have read the previous books.) I also need to warn you that there are some scenes involving torture as well.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book and would recommend this one to anyone who enjoys reading fantasy novels that take you on an emotional rollercoaster, if you enjoy stories involving magic and romance, trust and betrayal, and if you have been reading the previous books in the series, then you really don’t want to miss this one. It’s that good. I honestly didn’t want to put it down to sleep at night. It was definitely the perfect ending to this series.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book may also be available through:

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/mg5YN0

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 11pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website.
<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">In the earlier days of WWII many Jewish people were not able to flee from France before the German occupation began rounding up the Jewish people and sending them to concentration camps. Many of those people just couldn’t believe that France would allow it to happen to them. Some citizens were sent to German work camps, and there were many other atrocities taking place throughout the countryside. It was a rough time for everyone, not just those who happened to be Jewish.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">In this book we followed the lives of some of the people helping those fleeing from this oppression as well as some of the members of the resistance. It was as dangerous for those trying to escape as it was for those trying to help them. In this book the escape routes talked about were very difficult routes going through the mountains and into Spain. Anyone caught was doomed to be tortured as the Nazis sought to find everyone involved in helping those trying to flee, whether they were Jewish or not. And many were either killed right away or were sent to concentration camps and prisons where they often died from disease.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I received a review copy of this book and feel that I should warn you that parts of it were very emotionally intense. That is something that is unavoidable given the time period. It was a dangerous time, and no one was ever entirely safe. My eyes were teary as I read at some points in this book. The story was well written and I enjoyed reading it. Given the time period it takes place in, please be aware that this book does contain some violence. That is unavoidable in a book about WWII.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you enjoy WWII stories about the people fleeing from the Nazis and the people/networks of people helping them, then you will enjoy this book. It was a fascinating look into why many chose to help despite the risks to them and their families, as well as what life was like for the average person living in the countryside at the time, whether or not they happened to be among those trying to either flee from the Nazis or helping them to escape. And be sure to read the notes at the end talking about the people and locations that this story was based on. It was as interesting as the rest of the tale.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book may also be available through:

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/mZpY0p

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 11pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. She is the daughter of Santa Claus, and grew up knowing that someday she was expected to take over delivering toys to the children of the world. There’s just one problem with that plan; that's not what she wants to do with her life. What she really wants is to live somewhere else and run her own bakery. Baking, rather than toy making, is where her passions truly lie. Yes, her parents are disappointed at first that she doesn’t want to follow in her father’s footsteps, but they do what they can to help her make her dream possible.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">When she moves into her first apartment in a small town far from the North Pole and begins a new life for herself, her first friend is her neighbor, who soon happens to be murdered next door to Cindy’s apartment. And being the first to find the newly dead woman who had been killed using a unique pen that Cindy had given away not long before, the police arrest Cindy as the murderer. Now she needs to discover who actually committed the crime. If she can’t, her first time leaving home may wind up with her spending years in prison for a murder she didn’t commit.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This was a fun little Christmas Cozy mystery. I received a review copy of this book, read it through in one day and really enjoyed it. It even includes the recipes for several types of cookies and other sweet treats that were made by the main character in the story. While I haven’t tried baking any of them myself (Unfortunately, I’m not a fan of peppermint), they do sound interesting, and at some point I may have to give the gingerbread cookies or maybe the lemon drop cookies a try. There’s also a cheesecake recipe that sounds pretty good as well.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This was the first book in a new holiday series, a quick read, and I think it’s a good story.
<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Kimana was left on her own after her family had died from illness. Her father had been determined not to ever live on a reservation, but there were increasingly few places where the Native Americans could live without harassment. It was because of this that Kimama found herself racing for the nearby reservations with two white cowboys chasing after her, their intent to do her harm quite obvious. Kimana did find safety there, but was clearly unhappy being placed with another family where the wife was treating her as a slave and the husband was beginning to look at her in other ways that she didn’t like. One thing led to another, and (while I won’t tell you how) Kimana wound up married to Dancing Stream, a man whose mother had been a Native American woman married to a white man.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I found this story very interesting. While it wasn’t your typical mail-order bride story, it has most of the elements of one. Two near strangers finding themselves in a situation where the only option for one (or both) is to marry. In this case, Kimana’s only options were to return to living with the household where she was treated as a slave, marry another man from the reservation, one who had previously attacked her and most likely would treat her as badly as the other family, be sent to a women’s prison in the east (where she would be much worse off) or to marry Dancing stream, a half-white man who owned a homestead in the mountains. Given these choices, which would you choose?

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I enjoyed watching Kimana and Dancing Stream get to know and trust each other, and eventually, as with most all mail-order bride stories, find love. This one had more difficult moments than many of the others that I have read, but as always, it finds the happy ending that I have come to expect and enjoy in this series.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This book may also be found through:

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 16px; white-space-collapse: preserve;">https://books2read.com/u/3y6W5e

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Amazon requires me to state that I have an Amazon Associates account that I use to generate the links to the books on their website. They were the ones who won the war and tore apart his country, killing many of his people, and selling the rest of the survivors as slaves all across the Empire. Hanover, thought by most to have died during the last battle, has made it his purpose to find and free all of his surviving people. I will start off by warning you that like the previous book, it appears to be a very long book, but reading it, it keeps you enthralled and does not feel like it is nearly as long as the page count claims. The story is compelling and quickly draws the reader in. It had me wanting to know how the characters would solve many of the problems they encountered along the way.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">And don't assume that this is simply a story of one man traveling around and freeing his people without care for those who might have once been his enemy. This story is much more than that, for wherever Hanovar travels on his quest, he finds himself helping not only the Volani, but people belonging to all the other races who are now part of the Dervan Empire.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">This series is an epic fantasy adventure of the highest degree. Because of that, her boss was forced to remove her from her position, at least for the time being. And that's how she wound up being transferred into the position of Postmaster in the small town of Ohia in the Hawaiian Islands. Unfortunately, being an outsider brought in to fill a position that a local postal employee had expected to get leaves her with a less than pleasant start in both her new job & and her new town.

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">Things take a turn for the worse, when the feral cat living in Kat's new home brings her a human hand that just happens to belong to the previous postmaster. Now Kat has decided to help the local police solve the murder. Which is not the easiest of tasks when most people consider you an outsider.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">I enjoyed reading this book. Parts of it were light hearted, but it also dealt with some serious topics, like the fact that Kat has been dealing with PTSD and is currently very touch sensitive in a community of people who are big on hugs, not always with a warning that they are about to hug her.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline;">There was a lot of interesting information on Hawaii in this book, some of which I was aware of, but much of it was new to me. I loved the local flavor that was added in by using the native language by the people in the town. And the depictions of characters at first resenting Kat's presence, and later accepting her into their community, gave this book a great deal of authenticity.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;"><span style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS", sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline;">I think anyone who enjoys cozy mysteries, the Hawaiian Islands, or both will enjoy this fun story. And it does not disappoint. Another among their group has died, and the young group who have not been aware that Legends existed—let alone that they were Legends themselves —are all struggling with how to deal with their loss. But now they have someone and something else to focus on. There is a new drug on the streets that poses a great threat to their ability to remain hidden. And both the drug itself and the people behind it need to be dealt with.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-position: normal; vertical-align: baseline; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I read the previous two books in this series and really enjoyed them. This story is one that draws the reader in and leaves you wanting to know more. I had a hard time putting it down to sleep at night. While it answered a lot of the questions I had after the end of the previous book, it left me with even more questions that I need answers for. I love the concept that this book is based on. The idea that Vampires, Werewolves, and others are not supernatural beings, but that they are simply people who have an autoimmune disease that causes them to sometimes appear as what people call Vampires, Werewolves, or others.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">I do need to warn you that this book ends leaving you with a couple of very big questions that won't get answered until book 4 is released, which I believe will be in 2024. I know that I'll be waiting to find out what happens in that one, and if you've been enjoying this series so far, then I expect that you will enjoy this book and be waiting patiently with me for the next one too.

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">

<span face=""Comic Sans MS", sans-serif" style="font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;">If you enjoy stories about Vampires, Werewolves, Fairies, and other unusual creatures, then you will enjoy this book.
